HSDPA

High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is a 3.5G cellular broadband standard, which allows users to surf the internet, download music and videos, and even make VoIP calls over the internet from any compatible mobile phone.

HSDPA services are currently available from Cingular Wireless in the United States, Rogers Wireless in Canada, and numerous other providers in Europe and Asia.
At this point in time, most HSDPA deployments offer downstream bandwidth of either 1.8 or 3.6 Mbps, but future networks could theoretically provide download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps.
