Double billing for minutes on your phone can be an unfortunate, yet common, practice among big phone companies. You expect your bill to be a certain amount, but when it arrives you're surprised that the cost is doubled.
RingCentral doesn’t double bill for minutes. A forwarded call consists of two connections: an inbound call to your RingCentral number and an outbound connection to the phone you used to answer the call. Other companies charge for each of these connections separately; RingCentral only bills you for one minute of a connected domestic call. For example, a company advertising 2.9¢ per minute would actually charge you 5.8¢ for every minute of talk time, or 58¢ for a 10 minute conversation. On the other hand, RingCentral advertises 3.9¢ per minute for the Business Premium plan and subscribers will pay 39¢ for a 10 minute domestic call. With RingCentral, you know exactly what you’ll pay. So even if another company advertises a lower rate, be careful because practices such as double billing can actually end up costing you more.
Forget complicated bills and hidden fees; your small business can't afford to not know what to expect on your monthly phone bill.
